Destined For The Garbage

Asking someone to create the UI/UX for your app, game, site, or whatever is very forward and is on par with asking someone to help you move or take you to the airport. Nobody wants to do it and if they do then you might want to consider a background check. Like those people who enjoy fonts way too much, people who enjoy UI/UX design are one missed bi polar pill away from burning down the office. My capillaries exploded when I was asked to create the GUI for Naked Gun, and to have it all tossed in the end turned the remaining veins in my body into what amounts to that pink sludge chicken nuggets are made out of.

Posers, Rebooting is the New Rehash

This was an updated version of the Naked Gun story, so the characters, (while slightly resembling the original cast), were to be completely different but the same. I think this contradiction is the rule for reboots, maybe, dunno- I had fun coming up with theses versions but still feel like they should've been develop more instead of just pushed through to production. The Producers' kids were given ipads and were waiting for me to get this game done, so time was of the essences.

Car Wrapping; A Great Way To Make Your Car Look Like The Bat Mobile

The iconic Naked Gun/PoliceSquad intro was the scene that I had looked forward to working on the most. The following concepts were as far as I got, I'm not even sure the game had the intro, (it might have but I refuse to play). First was a version based on the original Frank Drebin car, later the writers felt that a pun was needed and the "Pious" became the go to version. Meh, it's an okay pun but at the time I felt puns were just something that nightly news anchors used to transition between murder stories and should be used sparingly in the game.

Algorithms the Preferred Weapon of Bad Guys

I figured It was about time I got around to posting some visual development work from the past, present, and future. Here you'll find, (although I can't promise that you will), an array of background design, character design, ui/ux design, animation, story boards, and whatever else I make up along the way. My proclivities are towards 2D concept work so if your eyeballs were hoping for 3D work they might start to cry out of disappointment. First up, are backgrounds for the Naked Gun I.C.U.P. app that launched a couple of years ago. I was the creative lead for the first half of the games development. The second half, well that's a story best told by another narrator.
